What is nutrition or meal planning? Will it work for me?

All of us are looking to improve our health! Some it might be to look better while others are looking to feel better. Some may want to be better at a sport while others just want to be able to keep up with the struggles of the day. No matter your reasoning, the simple principles of nutrition planning or meal plan will apply.
What is Nutrition planing or Meal planing? I will answer using an analogy. The idea of nutrition and meal planing is like creating a budget; the difference is we need a deficit rather than a surplus. When a budget is created, the guesswork of knowing how much to pay and where the money will come from is gone. You simply apply a process and follow it each month; plain and simple! Planing our nutrition and meals is much the same.
Nutrition planning involves having a professional help you determine how many calories you need to consume allowing you to do two things. One - have a calorie deficit sufficient to have your body choose to burn fat. Two - not create such a deficit as to illicit a hormonal change in your body to slow your metabolism.
Please watch the following videos to grasp the process of creating a nutrition plan and then let us know how we can help. Thank you and good luck!
What is a pound of fat and how can I lose it?
What is BMR and how can I determine mine?
What is Activity Index? How many calories do I burn during exercise?
Putting it all together - BMR + Activity Index + Exercise calories = Total Daily Calories Expenditure
Now that you know your calorie expenditure, you need to ensure you get those calories from the correct sources in the correct amounts.
Timing your nutrients will allow your body to have the required energy to keep your metabolism going.
"Fail to plan, plan to fail" If you don't plan your meals you will not get the desired results.
